Japanese Cooking Class

In Japan, on March 3rd, Hinamatsuri, or the doll festival, celebrates female children and pray for their continued health and happiness.

During the holiday, families display ceramic dolls dressed in the ornate, decorative robes of the ancient imperial court.  A special dish called Chirashi-zushi, is considered as a perfect meal for this spring festival because it's so visually appealing and many of the common ingredients have auspicious meanings.

For this occasion,  Mrs.Ito Mari would like to propose to the MLI members a cooking workshop to make the Chirashi-zushi.
